MTU size higher than 1500 is not allowed.
End-End MTU will be limited to 1500. You are unable to set the MTU size beyond 1500
If a client is configured for PMTU, it will discover MTU as a maximum of 1500 and the client will not be able to send packets larger than 1500 bytes. Packets greater than 1500 bytes will be dropped if don't fragment is set, and they will be fragmented if it is not set.
