Symptoms

IPv6 virtual servers targeting IPv4 virtual servers (for example, using the 'virtual' iRule command) might drop traffic coming from some clients unexpectedly. Note: See also ID1002945 (https://cdn.f5.com/product/bugtracker/ID1002945.html), which is a closely related issue.

Impact

Traffic is dropped.

Conditions

- IPv6 to IPv4 virtual server chaining.

Workaround

Apply a SNAT with an IPv4 address to the IPv6 virtual server.
