Opened: Apr 18, 2022

Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

GTM may occasionally send the wrong commit_id_originator to other sync group members, causing a full sync to occur instead of an incremental one. The following message may be seen in the /var/log/gtm log "Unable to do incremental sync, reverting to full load for device group /Common/gtm"

Impact

Unnecessary GTM full sync when an incremental sync would have been more efficient.

Conditions

Frequent GTM group syncs.
