Symptoms

A core file may rarely be generated from promptstatusd.

Impact

No impact on the system.

Conditions

This can occur very rarely during the termination of services when the system restart or shutdown. At shutdown, following is observed in LTM log: err logger[xxxxx]: shutting down for system shutdown on behalf of root Usually a similar log will be available, but the log will be missing when promptstatusd core is produced: notice mcpd[xxxxx]: 01070410:5: Removed subscription with subscriber id %promptstatusd
