Symptoms

Installing the same RPM package (e.g. f5-telemetry-1.33.0-1.noarch.rpm) from Main tab > iApps > Package Management LX > Import leaves a bunch of files in /var/config/rest/tmp.XXXXX on 15.1.9. This issue does not occur on 15.1.8.2, 16.x and 17.x. This behaviour is causing issues in the disk space.

Impact

Increase in the disk space utilization.

Conditions

Importing the same package via GUI. Use 15.1.9 release.

Workaround

Manually delete the temporary files in /var/config/rest/tmp.XXXX
