Bug ID 1390997: Ability to Display and Enable/Disable TLS Protocol Versions via ConfD CLI on F5OS

Last Modified: Jul 15, 2026

Affected Product(s):
F5OS F5OS, F5OS-A, F5OS-C, Velos(all modules)

Known Affected Versions:
F5OS-A 1.5.0, F5OS-A 1.5.1, F5OS-A 1.5.2, F5OS-A 1.5.3, F5OS-A 1.5.4, F5OS-A 1.7.0

Fixed In:
F5OS v2.0.0

Opened: Oct 31, 2023

Severity: 4-Minor

Symptoms

Administrators are unable to directly display or configure enabled TLS protocol versions for F5OS management interfaces using the ConfD CLI. While cipher suites can be managed, protocol version control is not exposed, leading to compliance and scanner issues.

Impact

1. Security scanners may flag the management interface for presence of older TLS protocols if not explicitly disabled. 2. Administrators lack visibility and control over protocol versions, potentially affecting compliance and operational requirements.

Conditions

1. Applies to F5OS management interface (HTTPS access) 2. Occurs when attempting to configure TLS settings for the httpd service via ConfD CLI.

Workaround

None.
