Symptoms

Wccpd on a device can be seen taking a high amount of CPU.

Impact

High cpu usage reducing the box's performance.

Conditions

This can happen on a box running wccpd with a connection to a router and the box is going from active to standby.

Workaround

Restart the wccpd daemon on the standby (where the high CPU is observed): bigstart restart wccpd
