Symptoms

During a full config-sync on BIG-IP LTM (e.g., 17.5.1.x), remotely authenticated administrative users may be added to the sdm group in /etc/group on the sync receiver.

Impact

An inconsistency has been observed in the /etc/group file content between the sync initiator and the receiver.

Conditions

- BIG-IP is configured with remote authentication (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory, TACACS+). - A remotely authenticated administrative user is used to access the system. - A full config-sync operation is performed between BIG-IP devices.
