Bug ID 2290965: BIG-IP GUI Incorrectly Displays /0 Destination Mask After Upgrade or Rollback

Last Modified: Oct 01, 2026

Affected Product(s):
BIG-IP Install/Upgrade, TMOS(all modules)

Known Affected Versions:
17.5.1, 17.5.1.2, 17.5.1.3, 17.5.1.4, 17.5.1.5, 17.5.1.6, 17.5.1.8, 17.5.1.9

Opened: Apr 30, 2026

Severity: 4-Minor

Symptoms

The BIG-IP Configuration Utility (GUI) may display the Virtual Server destination address with a /0 mask. This is typically observed after an upgrade or rollback operation. The CLI (tmsh) continues to show the correct destination mask (for example, /32). No change is seen in the actual configuration or traffic handling behavior.

Impact

This is a display-only issue in the GUI. There is no impact to traffic processing or functionality. May cause confusion during configuration review or troubleshooting due to mismatch between GUI and CLI output.

Conditions

Upgrade or rollback is performed with Install Configuration set to Yes. Virtual Server is configured using traffic matching criteria (TMC). A source address list is associated with the Virtual Server. Virtual Address is configured under traffic-group-local-only. Issue is not observed with a simple reboot (without upgrade/rollb

Workaround

Manual removal of '/0' resolves the issue.
