Symptoms

After logging in to the BIG-IP Configuration Utility, some pages display the error "Error getting auth token from login provider." Affected pages include Device Management, Shared Objects, and iApps Application Services

Impact

Remote users with usernames that begin with an underscore, or that contain a backslash or at sign, cannot access some Configuration Utility pages. Other pages and CLI access are unaffected.

Conditions

- BIG-IP is configured to use a remote authentication provider (such as Active Directory, LDAP, or RADIUS) - The remote user's username begins with an underscore, or contains a backslash or an at sign character (for example, _username, DOMAIN\username, or user@domain)
