Symptoms

After modifying a Shared Object Port List and performing config sync in an HA pair, the sync may fail on the receiving device You may see an error similar to: Sync Failed A validation error occurred while syncing to a remote device 01070710:3: Database error (13), Cannot update_indexes/checkpoint DB object, class:traffic_matching_criteria_port_update

Impact

Configuration synchronization between HA peers may fail after Port List updates. As a result, configuration changes made on the active device may not propagate successfully to the peer until corrective action or a workaround is taken

Conditions

This issue may occur when all of the following are true: - The system is part of an HA pair or device group using config sync - A Shared Object Port List is modified - The Port List is referenced by a Traffic Matching Criteria, directly or through related configuration - A full config load or merge is performed on the peer during sync processing
