Super users operating under the default SELinux staff_u:staff_r:staff_t context are unable to perform ls, cat, or similar file access operations on certain log and host paths due to SELinux policy restrictions
Super users cannot list directories or view files within protected log and host locations, resulting in permission denied errors.
The issue occurs when a user attempts to access restricted log or host files while executing under the standard staff_u:staff_r:staff_t SELinux context. The restriction is present regardless of whether the user has a superuser role.
None.
Updated the SELinux policy to allow users running under the staff_u:staff_r:staff_t context to access approved log and host paths.
