Multiple stale iControlPortal.cgi processes build up after each bigstart restart of httpd
- Stale processes consume memory over time - No impact on traffic or end users
- Occurs on BIG-IP 21.1.x only - Triggered by restarting the httpd service via bigstart restart httpd - BIG-IP 17.5.x and earlier are not affected
Stale processes can be manually killed as a temporary measure, but will recur until the fix is applied. Resolved in Change 3954408. After applying the fix, exactly one iControlPortal.cgi process runs after each restart — no accumulation.
