When deploying BIG-IP Virtual Edition (VE) using cloud-init in environments where multiple CD/DVD sources are attached, the VE installer (tm_install) refuses to automatically select a source, causing cloud-init installation workflows to fail
Cloud-init installation fails to complete or halts, resulting in a denial-of-service (DoS) condition for automated VE deployment pipelines
- Deploying BIG-IP VE using cloud-init / automated installation scripts - Multiple CD/DVD devices or ISO sources are attached to the virtual machine during installation
Ensure only a single CD/DVD drive or ISO source is attached to the BIG-IP VE virtual machine prior to initiating the cloud-init installation process
