- When navigating to Local Traffic >> Network Map on BIG-IP 17.5.x, the page takes several minutes to fully render when the configuration contains a large number of objects (e.g., 261 virtual servers, 272 pools, 184 nodes) - The GUI appears to hang/freeze during loading, and no other GUI operations can be performed until the Network Map finishes loading
- The GUI becomes unresponsive while the Network Map is loading - Cannot perform other GUI operations during this time
- Running BIG-IP software version 14.1.0 or later (including 17.5.x) - Configuration contains a large number of LTM objects (virtual servers, pools, pool members, nodes) - Navigating to Local Traffic >> Network Map in the Configuration Utility (GUI)
- No workaround. This has been identified as a systemic iControl REST performance issue - The Network Map page issues iterative REST queries for each pool and its associated pool member stats, causing significant delays with large configurations - Increasing REST timeout db keys does not resolve the underlying slowness
