After a Mellanox virtual function (VF) is removed, eal-intr-thread uses 100% CPU, and tmm stops processing traffic. This is the issue fixed in ID 2313441. It came back in some Engineering Hotfixes
Traffic processing stops until you restart tmm or reboot the BIG-IP system
- BIG-IP VE using Mellanox VFs, such as on Microsoft Azure with Accelerated Networking - An Engineering Hotfix that includes ID 2355421 but not ID 2549661 - A VF is removed while the system is running, for example, during Azure host maintenance
Restart TMM by running: bigstart restart TMM
