Opened: Jun 09, 2015

Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

Cannot use certain page elements (such as the Portal Access menu) in Google Chrome, and it appears that JavaScript has not properly initialized, and results in JavaScript errors on the following kinds of code: iframe.contentDocument.write(html) iframe.contentDocument.close() <any operation with iframe.contentDocument.body>

Impact

Some JavaScript applications might not work correctly when accessed through Portal Access. For example, one of applications known to contain such code and fail after APM rewriting is TinyMCE editor.

Conditions

-- The body of a dynamically created iframe document might be initialized asynchronously after APM rewriting. -- Using the Chrome browser.

Workaround

Revert rewriting of the document.write call with a post-processing iRule. The workaround iRule will be unique for each affected application.
