Opened: Apr 15, 2017 Severity: 3-Major
The mcpd daemon fails with a segment fault (SIGSEGV) during teardown of connections with a high availability (HA) peer. The system logs messages similar to the following to /var/log/ltm: warning mcpd[4822]: 01071aea:4: CMI heartbeat timer expired, status: 192.168.254.253.
The mcpd daemon restarts, possibly resulting in other daemons restarting as well, with momentary disruption of control-plane operations.
-- Connection with HA peer node is discontinued. -- Heartbeat timer expires.
There is no workaround at this time.
The system now handles this condition, so the issue no longer occurs.
