Symptoms

TMM crashes when it is releasing the memory used by a session that is terminated. Either one of the following error messages might appear in the TMM log: -- notice panic: ../kern/umem.c:4166: Assertion "valid type" failed. -- notice panic: ../kern/page_alloc.c:705: Assertion "vmem_hashlist_remove not found" failed.

Impact

TMM restarts, causing service interruption if the BIG-IP system is not part of a high-availability setup.

Conditions

The memory used by a session is corrupted during the lifetime of the session. This issue happens infrequently.

Workaround

There is no workaround at this time.

Fix Information

TMM no longer crashes when removing an access session.
