Symptoms

DHCP requests from the client are sent only to the first member in the DHCP server pool.

Impact

- DHCP server load balancing is not achieved. - If the first DHCP server in the DHCP server pool does not respond or is unreachable, the DHCP client will not be assigned an IP address.

Conditions

- BIG-IP system configured as a DHCP Relay. - DHCP server pool contains more than one DHCP server.
