Symptoms

The BIG-IP system stalls a connection instead of sending the intended HTTP response, or sends a malformed response.

Impact

Clients do not get the expected responses, leading to application failures.

Conditions

This issue occurs when all of the following conditions are met: -- The virtual server uses the http2 profile. -- The virtual server uses an iRule that invokes the HTTP::respond command under the HTTP_REQUEST or HTTP_RESPONSE event.

Workaround

None.

Fix Information

The HTTP::respond iRule command works as expected under these conditions.
