The BIG-IP system can now be configured to collect multicast statistics for LACP, STP, and LLDP. It is controlled by a sys db variable: l2.virtualwire.multicast.stats It is enabled by default.
The ability to collect and read multicast statistics makes it easier to debug l2 wire setups. Multicast statistics can be viewed in the following tmctl table: tmctl -w250 tmm/l2_mcast_stat
This is encountered when L2 wire transparent VLAN groups are configured.
