Symptoms

Tmm crashes and restarts. The following panic message is found in /var/log/tmm: notice panic: ../dev/hsb/if_hsb.c:6129: Assertion "HSB lockup, see ltm and tmm log files" failed.

Impact

Traffic disrupted while tmm restarts.

Conditions

-- Running on a platform that incorporates 'HiGig MAC' network interfaces. -- Some error or glitch is detected on the high-speed bus (HSB). -- Software commands a reset of the HSB and interface hardware.
