Symptoms

While trying to create a certificate that includes an asterisk (*), a backslash (\), or [](open and close square braces) in the name, the certificate details display as 'No certificate'.

Impact

No details on the certificate.

Conditions

-- In the GUI, Navigate to System :: Certificate Management : Traffic Certificate Management : SSL Certificate List :: New SSL Certificate -- Use a certificate name and common name, such as: *.my.example.com.crt -- After the certificate is created, click on it in the GUI

Workaround

Use tmsh to gather certificate details. Note: * or \ or [] should not be used in certificate names.
