Symptoms

BIG-IQ will not function properly after a clean installation in 1-nic configuration.

Impact

You cannot use BIG-IQ as intended and GUI may be inaccessible

Conditions

You have setup a BIG-IQ from scratch via a clean installation (not an upgrade) in an environment where DHCP is not available. Note: Though BIG-IQ supports a single NIC configuration starting in version 8.0.0, it does not support upgrading an existing BIG-IQ with a single NIC to version 8.0.0. See ID1010525

Workaround

To setup BIG-IQ in an environment where DHCP is not available please use the steps outlined in https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K95712472
