Symptoms

When an Edge Client user supplies their username and submits, an error appears: Error: The property or method preventDefault is not supported by this object. Clicking the logon button afterword logs in successfully.

Impact

An error message is displayed.

Conditions

-- SAML configured -- Clients connect with Internet Explorer 8

Workaround

Clients can still log in normally after dismissing the error message.
