BIG-IQ returns a message in the the/var/log/elasticsearch/eslognode.log similar to the following: fatal error in thread [main], exiting java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space Additionally, the analytics dashboards might take a long time to display.
The analytics dashboard is occasionally unavailable or takes a long time to load.
BIG-IQ has 64GB of RAM and there is a large volume of analytics data being collected from BIG-IP devices prompting numerous alarms.
Increase the amount of RAM on BIG-IQ using the following procedure. 1. Go to file: /etc/biq_daemon_provision.json and increase at json "big_iq"->"elasticsearch"->"memory_allocation"->"SYS_64GB" the value to "10000m" 2. run: bigstart restart elasticsearch
