When the NDAL queues get full and start dropping, tmm will report cpu cycles spent in the poll loop as idle instead of busy which causes it not to account for cpu time spent in the poll loop.
Tmm's self-reported cpu stats may be lower than expected when compared to Linux tools such as top or ps.
Usually during heavy traffic. If the hypervisor cannot pull packets off the NIC fast enough and the internal queues become full. The following stats will show increasing drop_full_iq counters: tmm/iq_tx_stats tmm/iq_tx_stats
