Symptoms

The SPK driver stack leaks DPDK packet fragments (rte_mbuf buffers) when a DPDK memory allocation error or a DPDK poll-mode driver transmit error occurs.

Impact

The SPK TMM container might stop processing packets on data plane interfaces if a large number of DPDK memory allocation errors or DPDK poll-mode driver transmit errors occur.

Conditions

The SPK TMM Pod encounters either of two error scenarios: - A buffer allocation error occurs prior to packet transmit. - A DPDK transmit error occurs in rte_eth_tx_burst().
