Symptoms

Even when the server-side nexthop MAC address is a broadcast address, the flow is L4 offloaded.

Impact

Possibly broadcast storm.

Conditions

- rSeries/VELOS. - This can happen due to ID881041. - Packet with broadcast destination MAC is received from a directly connected host to a fastL4 virtual, that has L4 offload enabled.

Workaround

- Disable L4 offload. - iRule trickery.
