Symptoms

When the port mode is mismatched on a Front Panel QSFP port, it can cause port interface flapping on other ports.

Impact

The status on other interfaces may incorrectly show ‘down’ when the interface is ‘up’.

Conditions

A port mode mismatch, such as a 100GE optic installed when the port is configured for 40GE operating mode. This did not occur on earlier versions so it might be detected after you upgrade to an affected version.

Workaround

Do not operate in a mismatched mode.
