Removing a failed patch ISO also removes the base services ISO imported by another ISO. Further upgrade will fail even though importing the patch version is successful. You may observe the below log. appliance-1(config)# system image check-version iso-version 1.5.2-21056 response Compatibility verification succeeded.

Impact

Upgrade to a new successful import of patch ISO of the same version will fail.

Conditions

-- Base services are already imported by another ISO. -- Same version patch ISO import failed. -- Delete the failed patch ISO.

Workaround

Rebooting the device will resolve the issue.

Fix Information

While removing the failed patch ISO, added a check that if the base services are imported by another ISO, do not delete the base services ISO.
