Symptoms

Steps: 1. Configure two BIG-IP Next Central Managers (BIG-IP Next Central Manager 1 and BIG-IP Next Central Manager 2) with external storage. 2. Create a backup on BIG-IP Next Central Manager 1 and download the backup file. 3. Open BIG-IP Next Central Manager 2 to restore. 4. The “Upload Backup File” button is not visible, preventing access to the restore functionality.

Impact

Users cannot upload a backup file or perform a restore through the BIG-IP Next Central Manager GUI.

Conditions

The BIG-IP Next Central Manager GUI does not allow uploading, downloading, or deleting backup files when external storage is configured.

Workaround

Manually transfer the backup file from BIG-IP Next Central Manager 1 to BIG-IP Next Central Manager 2.
