Symptoms

F5OS tenants may generate an incorrect warning in the kernel log: warning kernel: mgmt: received packet on eth0 with own address as source address (addr:14:a9:d0:XX:XX:XX, vlan:0) This occurs without an actual MAC address conflict; no other systems or tenants are using the tenant's management MAC address.

- BIG-IP tenant running on F5OS systems - An external device that does one of the following: -- Generates ARP probes for addresses in the IPv4 loopback range (127.0.0.0/8) -- Generates neighbor discovery requests for the tenant's link-local IPv6 management IP (fe80::/64)
