Bug ID 1828137: F5OS LLDP details page cannot display information about neighbors with matching port IDs

Last Modified: Oct 22, 2025

Affected Product(s):
F5OS F5OS, F5OS-A, F5OS-C, Velos(all modules)

Known Affected Versions:
F5OS-A 1.8.0, F5OS-A 1.8.3, F5OS-C 1.8.0, F5OS-C 1.8.1, F5OS-C 1.8.2

Opened: Mar 05, 2025

Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

On the LLDP Details page in the F5OS GUI, clicking on a neighbor row expands to show information about the neighbor system. If the F5OS system is connected to the same interface on multiple peer switches, the F5OS GUI will always show neighbor information for the first matching interface. For example: F5OS interface 3.0 => switch 1 xe-0/0/38 F5OS interface 4.0 => switch 2 xe-0/0/38 The F5OS system is connected to port xe-0/0/38 on two different switches, and attempting to use the F5OS GUI to view neighbor information for the neighbor on interface 4.0 will show the information from interface 3.0.

Impact

Unable to use the GUI to view neighbor information about some LLDP

Conditions

F5OS system with LLDP enabled. Multiple interfaces on the F5OS system connected to the same port ID on distinct switches.

Workaround

Use the CLI or API to retrieve information about LLDP neighbors. For example, log into the CLI as an admin user and run "show lldp interfaces interface neighbor"
