Symptoms

F5OS remote authentication does not work. Administrator can observe F5OS performing DNS resolution of the configured RADIUS server, but F5OS never transmits RADIUS Access-Request packets to the server.

Impact

Remote authentication does not work.

Conditions

- F5OS host is configured with only an IPv6 management IP address. - RADIUS remote authentication configured with a RADIUS server specified via hostname. - RADIUS server hostname has both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses (i.e. both A and AAAA records in DNS)

Workaround

Create a separate hostname for the RADIUS server that only resolves to an IPv6 address.
