Symptoms

After a startup, configuration backups fail. The platform.log file has messages like this: msg="Config-backup failed." ERR="/oc-sys:system/f5-database:database/config/fingerprint-check does not exist" ... and the startup.log file has a message like this: loading schema-metadata.init confd_load: 662: maapi_apply_trans_flags(sock, tid, 0, aflags) failed: in use (11): the configuration database is locked by session none

Impact

Unable to take backups until the system is restarted.

The conditions that trigger this are not yet known.

Workaround

Once the system gets into this state, it needs to be restarted.
