Last Modified: Oct 19, 2025

Affected Product(s):
F5OS F5OS-A(all modules)

Fixed In:

Opened: Aug 06, 2025

Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

The execution of the "system disk-encryption validate-kmip" operation in ConfD experiences intermittent failures due to timeout errors.

Impact

It may not be possible to validate the operational status of KMIP servers.

Conditions

This issue occurs only when Full Disk Encryption feature is configured and connection to kmip server exceeds 5 seconds due to network latency.

Workaround

You should evaluate connection latency and configure their KMIP servers so that the appliance can reach them within 5 seconds.

Fix Information

Increased timeout value from 5 seconds to 10 seconds to improve connectivity with slow or distant KMIP servers. The execution of the "system disk-encryption validate-kmip" operation in ConfD will succeed, if the system is able to connect to KMIP servers with in 10 sec.
