Symptoms

While installing Edge Client version 7260 over certain older Edge client versions, installation fails with a popup message: Files in Use Some files that need to be updated are currently in use. The following applications are using files that need to be updated by the setup. Close these applications and then click retry to continue the installation or Cancel to exit it. F5 Network Component Installer(Process id:xxxx)

Impact

Edge Client 7260 manual installation fails.

Conditions

-- Windows Edge Client. -- Installing Edge Client version 7260 over the top of 725x.

Workaround

Workaround 1: 1.Exit the currently running Edge Client application 2.Uninstall the currently installed Edge client application (older version EX: 725x or lower) and then install the Edge Client 7260 Workaround 2: Stop the running service called "F5 Networks Component Installer: via the task manager and then install the Edge Client 7260 version.
