Bug ID 2188365: Egress packets dropped when forwarded to TMM after self IP removal

Last Modified: Jul 15, 2026

Affected Product(s):
BIG_IP_NEXT(BNK) BNK(all modules)

Known Affected Versions:
2.2.0, 2.2.1

Opened: Dec 22, 2025

Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

The device drops egress traffic when it forwards packets to TMM after removing the self IPs.

Impact

The system should not forward traffic to TMMs without self IPs; however, it forwards egress packets to TMMs whose self IPs were removed and drops them.

Conditions

- Traffic flows when packets go to TMMs that have self IPs. - The application pod sends egress traffic to the TMM. - Delete the existing vlan.yaml and update it to remove some internal VLAN self IPs.

Workaround

Wait a few minutes until OVN deletes the routing entries to TMMs without self IPs.
