Symptoms

After restoring a UCS file, the default-value of the sys db variable: alertd.lcdwarn changes from enable to disable. Following a system reboot, the default-value reverts to enable.

Impact

-- The effective runtime value (value) remains set to enable -- No functional or operational impact is observed -- Alerting behavior is not affected

Conditions

-- UCS is saved and restored on the same system -- alertd.lcdwarn was not explicitly modified by the administrator The issue is also observed immediately after UCS restore, without a reboot.

Workaround

After UCS restore, restart alertd daemon: bigstart restart alertd
