Symptoms

If a virtual server is created using a virtual address name and enables address translation, then on upgrade, the address translation may be disabled. The virtual address is not translated after the upgrade completes.

Impact

Since the virtual address would not be translated, connections may fail.

Conditions

In 11.1 (possibly 11.2), if a virtual server is created using the name of a virtual address and Address Translation is enabled (in the GUI, the checkbox is checked), then after an upgrade to 11.3, the Address Translation would be disabled. It does not occur if the virtual address name is the address (e.g. the name "myVirtualAddress" might fail, whereas "10.0.0.1" will not.)

Workaround

Re-enable it.

Fix Information

In version 11.3.0HF3 and later, the systems now honors the existing setting.
