Symptoms

The file asm_module.xml within the qkview file contains illegal (non-UTF-8) characters, and cannot be parsed by many XML tools.

Impact

asm_module.xml within qkview tarball contains illegal (non-UTF-8) characters.

Conditions

As of version 11.3.0, binary values can be set in some tables. These binary values are illegal in UTF-8 encoded XML, and as such, create illegal XML in asm_module.xml when a qkview is created.

Workaround

This issue has no workaround at this time.

Fix Information

The file asm_module.xml within the qkview file no longer contains illegal (non-UTF-8) characters that cannot be parsed by many XML tools.
