The BIG-IP system publishes the mgmt MAC addresses using offsets of the chassis base MAC address, instead of the MAC addresses from the kernel (as ifconfig and dmesg report).
MAC address is inconsistent between ifconfig and 'tmsh show sys mac'. This is expected behavior and does not indicate an issue with the system.
This occurs on BIG-IP systems MAC addresses.
