If a PSU is inserted or swapped without a power cable, and/or with the PSU switch turned to "off", Critical and Emergency alerts pertaining to the PSU may be logged and displayed on the LCD.
Log messages and LCD alerts are displayed
4000, 5000, 7000 or 10000 series appliances. Insertion of a PSU will trigger alerts with any of the following conditions present: - No power cable inserted - Power switch turned to "off"
The system logs alerts because it detects that a PSU is present without power. Once a cable is inserted and/or the switch is turned to "On" and the PSU light goes green, it is safe to ignore/clear the alerts.
