Symptoms

When upgrading to 11.4.0, users may see the error "01070356:3: SSL feature not licensed."

Impact

Configurations will not load and SSL functionality will not be available.

Conditions

Any BIG-IP using an APM standalone SKU was affected. Note that the system must only be licensed for the APM module, otherwise the license flag which activates SSL will be present and the defect will not occur. This defect occurs because the F5 License Server was not issuing the perf_SSL_total_TPS feature flag in license files.

Workaround

Renew the system's license using the command 'tmsh install sys license'. This refreshes the license file on the system with a new one containing the proper contents.

Fix Information

The F5 License Server was updated to correct this issue.
