Symptoms

After restart, BGP may lose address-family IPv6 configuration and does not perform as expected.

Impact

BGP might not perform as expected after a system/tmrouted/bgpd restart.

Conditions

When a BGP peer-group is configured, enabling one of the members for address-family IPv6, saving and restarting leaves the configuration in an unexpected state.

Workaround

Do not use peer groups whose neighbors don't all use the same address-family configuration. See Comment 13 for more details.

Fix Information

BGP address-family IPv6 configuration is correctly saved.
