Symptoms

Under certain conditions (the exact cause is still unknown) the logging daemon, logd, might consume 99% of CPU when it tries to rotate tables in the local database.

Impact

Logd consumes all CPU cycles.

Restart logd.

An issue in which logd could start to consume 99% of CPU after table rotation has been fixed.
