Symptoms

Temporary files written to the /var/avr/loader directory were not deleted in case of a restart or an abnormal crash.

Impact

The directory /var/avr/loader can be filled with many files causing disk space exhaustion.

Conditions

If the avrd (or in previous versions: md) process is restarted or crashes in the middle of editing temporary files, then there is no procedure that cleans these files later.

Workaround

Stop the avrd & monpd processes, and manually clean all the files in the /var/avr/loader directory.

Fix Information

Upon restart of the avrd process, old temporary files are deleted.
