Symptoms

script did not successfully complete: (can't read "::net__snatpool": no such variable while executing "subst $substa_out" invoked from within "if { [info exists [set substa_in]] } { set substa_out [subst $$substa_in] set substa_out [subst $substa_out] } else { ..."

Impact

User will not be able to configure the iApp due to an error message.

Conditions

When the f5.dns iApp is configured with these 3 options: (1) "Which configuration mode do you want to use?" -> "Advanced - Configure advanced options" (2) "Where will the virtual servers be in relation to the DNS servers?" -> "BIG-IP virtual server IP and DNS servers are on different subnets" (3) "How have you configured routing on your DNS servers>" -> "DNS servers do not have a route to clients through the BIG-IP"

Workaround

User can configure the f5.dns template using alternative options and then reconfigure with the needed options. For example, the user can chose to answer the following questions to initial configure the iApp and then will be able to configure the iApp as needed. (1) "Where will the virtual servers be in relation to the DNS servers?" -> "BIG-IP virtual server IP and DNS servers are on different subnets." (2) "How have you configured routing on your DNS servers?" -> "DNS servers do not have a route to clients through BIG-IP" (3) "How many connections per server do you expect? -> "Less than 64,000 concurrent connections per server"

Fix Information

This iApp has been fixed in 11.5.
